Screen Spline Rolling Tool This professional nylon combo roller is used for rescreening windows and doors. This tool comes with two ball bearing nylon rollers and a solid wooden handle. The convex end is typically used to press the screen fabric into the channel on the frame prior to inserting the spline. The concave end is then used to apply the flexible spline into the frame on top of the fabric to retain the fabric into the aluminum frame. The rollers on this pro tool are much larger in diameter than the DIY tools you find at the “big box” stores. This increased diameter makes it much easier to work the spline into the groove and enables the spline to be pressed all the way down into the channel for better retention of the fabric. There are 2 widths to choose from on the 2” Diameter concave roller: PNCR 60-76 : 3/32” wide which is typically used for spline diameter that is .115-.145 round Or PNCR 61-76 : 1/8” wide which is typically used for spline diameter that is .150-.180 round There are some good videos on YouTube you can watch to learn how best to rewire your Screens or Doors.
